neon-swimming lonely currents
me on heart-bled ice
cool wind clothed
space grows

take me to your house
red ceilinged pillowed window lit

I was a young rock 'n roll writer, 1500 miles from home, living in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, when I met a lovely brunette whom within the week accepted a job as a professional dancer in Alberta with a prestigious dance company.

After leaving her for the last time, I looked up at the picture window of her 2nd story Victorian apartment. It was a cold and overcast night outside as I stood next to the 1955 MG TF1500 I had driven up from Southern California a year prior. Her window was so warm red with the open and hung parachute pillowing down from her ceiling.

When I got home to my own Victorian rental, I wrote these thoughts down.

Shortly thereafter I put together the imagery and printed up a limited one-time only run of 500. It quickly sold out at Vancouver head shops, and I'm glad I at least had mailed this copy to my sister Maria.

With time its reds are now somewhat faded, and it is a bit torn. Sort of like my memories of her and that last night.

swaying bands of colored rainbows past the spiral of a church and up the wires of electricity and black currents fly by and on them two lovers danced the night away and the guitar led them far and in their dreams they melted into one, and kisses, hugs and more than that the current drove them away and held each other tight as the music in their ears flowed and glowed and mercy, for the feelings were electric and wild, and happy and more and more, played on the strings of guitar sounds, and in the distance all of it became one big heart of happiness and more elecric currents and rainbows in the sky, warmed their hearts.

Very nice indeed, Click. Yes, warm electricity.

I am glad you liked the poem, it was felt from my heart, even though I have never met you. And your poem seemed to have stroke a chord in my heart and it is simply the art in the poems that made them click.
